i just bought this album a couple weeks ago on 'Amazon.com' with the precious help of a friend ! (big thanks to you 'G' you are the man !) and i ripped it yesterday & had to mix it for the youtube channel ! to me this album definitely deserve a place on my channel, one of those Independent Albums who lacked a lot of attention when it come out, to me they were very talented, definitely underrated & they deserve more attention !!!
Da LYC is formed with (obviously, i'm not sure but i can tell by the artists' name) a pair of twins, you cant go wrong with a pair of twins & definitely got an interesting vocal tone that can bring you back in time ! they will for sure take you back in the middle 90's era with a lot of great smooth songs, from New Jack Influence style with the song like 'Used Me' to the slower tempo tracks such as the titles: 'Strong Woman', 'It's All Over' or 'A Man Thing' they will definitely make sure anybody will doubt about their talent & will make sure everyone of you all !!! each songs are well sang, with very catchy choruses & melodies, self production which means a lot of instrumentals was produced in real instruments, like they used to back then, so you have to respect that, not like nowadays' electronic beats/instrumentals made on computer, totally bullshit who killed the music industry as well !!! so you have to respect that, it's not maybe fat productions like we use to hear from the major labels, but it's still enjoyable & respectable !
really love this album which will remain to me like a precious peace, by its rareness & also by its quality, the voices are crazy & it's definitely sad if they didn't blow more than what they did, that kinda stuffs is so hard to find & i still don't why... probably they didn't have a lot of finacial to get a massive productions & come out with a lot of copies of their album, that's always the same story with Independent Production. Anyway, i truely hope you will enjoy this album as much as i do, sit back & let you guide by the smooth sound of 'L.Y.C' peace out !!!
