here come G-Wesley, Sean 'Kal-El' & Vernon 'Khaliyl' Broosk are 'Chozen' aka The Reign Project. obviously, they are the same group which goes by the name of 'Reign' the group who had a hit single called/named: 'What Must I Do' back in 1994. this song is on their 2002 album, so it's definitely one important clue to get to know they are the same group. probably, they had a full length album back then when they recorded this song, but we'll never know ! maybe they hadn't the opportunity to come out with their album back then, that would explain why they changed the name of the group & maybe to have a better come back near the folks, it sometimes happen when the artists/groups are Independent. 


anyway, their 'What Must I Do' hit single got a nice smooth flava from the 90's, a pure 90's product without a single doubt, the rest of the album sounds way newer than this song, mostly middle tempo music which remains quality music. on a few songs, they proove they still got the soulful touch they used to on their single (that's what they also called 'Group Of The Millenium' their style are brand new flava, different from the 90's).

i truely would like to get to know their old songs better & what they recorded under 'Reign', i'm sure the songs must be super dope !

Chozen's "What Must I do", a hit single, ruled local airwaves when released in August 1994. It secured regular rotation on all urban contemporary radio stations in the Baltimore/Washington Metropolitan area and maintained regular play throughout the holiday season.

After the release of the single, Chozen received overwhelmeing positive responses from audiences as well as radio personalities.

Chozen has opened for established acts such as Gerald Levert, Tanya Blount, Johnny Gill, Howard Hewitt, Angela Bofil, Alyson Williams, Miles Jaye, Johnathan Butler and Aaliyah.

Chozen has performed in local clubs such as the Classics, the Ritz, Takoma Station, The Meeting Place, T.J. Remington's, Shootz Cafe', Triples, The Roxey, Mr. Henry's, The Ascot, The Oaktree; and in New York, Nell's, Blue Angel, and Soul Cafe'. They have also appeared on Amateur Night at the Apollo.

Among some of Chozen's other accomplishments since the release of "What Must I Do", are several local television appearances including a feature on CBS, and on-air interviews with WPGC, 92Q, V-103 and Magic 102.3.
Chozen was twice invited to participate in the Black Family Reunion in Washington, D.C., as well as Unifest, Futurefest, and other community oriented festivals.

Chozen has subsequently developed a significant fan base in the Baltimore/Washington Metropolitan area. As well as an accompolished recording group, this trio also writes and produces their own material. In short, this marketable trio has money-making potential.

Their first single, "What Must I Do", was produced by Ernesto Phillips, known for recognized hits such as "Object of My Desire" and "Am I Still the One" by R&B band Starpoint of which he was a member. He also produced "Best Friend" on Toni Braxton's multi-platinum LP. Feel the passion as "TITE" mesmerizes with with his voice and his stage presence. Guided by a musically gifted father and former member of the original 60's group the "Moments," TITE's high energy performance and theatrics keep everyone on their toes.

The melody found in "CHOCOLATE" comes from songwriting and playing keyboards. On stage, he is the consummate crowd- pleaser, thanks to suave dialogue with the audience.
