Watch Snoop along with some Westcoast greats trying to cook up some heat for Dr Dre Detox project. They preview some nice beats which you can look out for, even if they don't end up on Dre's project. Gotta catch Snoop talking about and impersonating 'Still Dre' in part 1. Pure Entertainment. DETOX is coming (Hopefully). Part 2 inside.
Quik's beat sounded incredible, but I'm not sure if it would fit in on Dre's album as it's probably not the sound he's going for.
ReplyDeleteThe D.O.C. obviously approved of the beat at 5:14, and it does sound good, but again, is this the sound that Dre is looking for? I don't know.
Perhaps the good Doc should stick to producing for his own album as that's what we've been waiting for.
In response to the comment above i see what your sayin and to a extent agree.
ReplyDeleteAll i know is that hearing these tunes ending up on detox will be far better than i need a doctor, Under Pressure or Chillin Ft Swizz Beats Tune that all WERE meant to end up on the LP.
Im just hoping he doesn't go to far from what got him his core fans.
I share the same views and too be honest it'll probably be the case that these beats may never see the light of day. I hope I'm wrong but I feel like Dre has seen pharrell and timberland being embraced by the pop world and he wants in. Just hope I haven't waited a decade for classic hip hop genre only to hear a pop house album with gaga n justin b. What ever comes out of these studio sessions are gonna have to pass through Dre and I hope DOC n snoop get the input in decision making because it sounded like Dre didn't have the right people around him. Snoop said everything i wanted to say, the bar needs to be set the same way 2001 came and did him justice after people forgot how good the chronic was, so I put my trust in dre and hope this changes the game like his previous albums, when ever he decides to drop it.
